Methods are not promises
Ethical fertility orientation begins by separating methods from outcomes. Egg freezing, IVF, embryo transfer, donor material and gestational-carrier files all require different medical, legal and emotional safeguards.
How we classify a file
- Egg freezing: age, ovarian reserve, medication timing and storage consent.
- IVF: protocol, stimulation, retrieval, fertilization plan and transfer intent.
- Embryo transfer: endometrial preparation, transfer window and post-transfer support.
- Donor material: consent, identity, legal recognition and clinic policy.
- Gestational carrier: carrier protection, parentage law and independent counsel.
The ethical spine
What begins, remains is the spine: avoid creating embryos without transfer intent, use PGT-A as information rather than an automatic discard filter, and make legal responsibility visible before money moves.
